This social studies unit focuses helps students learn map skills in second grade.  It is a BUNDLE of two maps and location units.

The unit includes:

• Letter & Number Grid Maps (for the classroom, school, and neighborhood)
• Map of North America (for labeling and understanding essential map components)
• Where did your Ancestors Live? (to help students trace their heritage)
• Rural, Urban, and Suburban (description and compare and contrast)

Each of these sections is built with scaffolding and help students move from oral language production to written work. Sentence frames and vocabulary cards are provided.

Most of the pages have both a primary and intermediate line option.

The parent letter comes in both Spanish and English.

    Rather disappointed with this resource. Neither the preview or the snap shots showed that so many pages would be dedicated to cut outs of classroom objects. I would have rather had those pages left out. The price is a bit high for what you get. I will be able to use this resource, but will need to find something to go with it, as it is not what the preview lead me to believe.
