This social studies activity focuses on helping students describe and compare and contrast urban, rural, and suburban environments. The activities are highly scaffolded and move from oral language production of the descriptions or compare and contrast statements to scaffolded written production. Students can fill-in-the-blank, write sentences, or write an entire paragraph to compare and contrast the three locations.
It is one part of the Map Skills and Location Social Studies Unit and is also included in the Social Studies BUNDLE. If you have purchased either of these, do not purchase this resource.
This resource is built with scaffolding and helps students move from oral language production to written work. Sentence frames and vocabulary cards are provided.
