Cut and Paste CVC Phonics Cards (includes Blending Cues)
$5.85
Help students segment sounds in CVC words with these CVC Phonics Cards.

Help students segment sounds in CVC words with these CVC Phonics Cards. Extend the life of the worksheets by cutting out the cards and placing them on a ring for review and practice. All versions are created to be cut out and placed on a ring, but can also be used as a stand-alone worksheet.
Included are two versions:
- Cut & Paste Cards only (no blending cues)
- Cut & Paste Cards with the blending cues hole punch at the top & hole punch on the bottom for self-checking
By using the version with the hole punch on the bottom, you can create a self-checking flash card. After students have created the worksheet, cut the four cards out, hole punch, fold the picture down, and place on a ring. Students blend the sounds together to say the word, then look at the picture to confirm that they said the correct word.
The blending cards are set up so that students:
- Say the sounds • • • (with the large dots)
- Blend the sounds (with the dotted lines)
- Say it fast (with the arrow)
The dotted lines indicate which sounds are continuous sounds and which are stop sounds. Continuous sounds have dotted lines before and after the sound to show that it continues. Stop sounds stop at the letter.

This is a great resource for students to work on during small groups or independent centers. When they are finished, my students will keep their CVC word ring in their Book Baggies to flip through throughout the year!
