Dolch Sight Word Practice and Cards (in two formats: one by frequency and another by grade level)
Sight Word Practice & Cards is a great resource for weekly sight word practice for your kindergarten, first, and second-grade students. It is also a great resource for parents to use with their child at home. I send home one page of the sight words per week for homework with these instructions:
Day 1: Read and trace the words
Day 2: Cut out the sight word flashcards and keep them in a special place at home to practice them every week.
Days 3 & 4: Practice the sight word flashcards.
I encourage students to find a safe place to keep the cards at home and practice the words on an on-going basis.
There are three versions available (some words are repeated in each version):
- Dolch Sight Word Practice & Cards (in two formats: one by frequency and another by grade level)
- Fry’s First through Fifth Hundreds Practice & Cards
- Irregular Words Cards (which are common non-decodable words) This is the most advanced set and includes some third-grade words.
All versions include an editable blank template in Powerpoint where you can enter your own words. NOTE: You will need to download a primary font to use in the editable document.
