I encouraged my 2nd graders to “brainstorm” and come up with a list of 20 things they were each thankful for. They enjoyed designing their own designs on the tree trunks and writing their thankful items on the leaves, and then coloring them bright fall colors. They will be finishing their projects this week just in time for Thanksgiving! Overall, this is a great project and it was a great compliment to our writing lesson on “Being Thankful”!
