Students Reflect on THemselves and their Loved ones
How often do you help students reflect on themselves and what makes them special? Are they good at soccer, drawing, or making people laugh?
One of my favorite things is helping students discover their own value. Valentine’s Day is about reflecting on what makes someone special.
This craftivity is a perfect way to help students reflect on themselves, friends, family, and school.

Valentine’s Day Flap Book Pages

The pages included with the craftivity are a cover, my friends or myself, my family, my school, and an arrow page. There are places to draw and write about each thing. The arrow components are optional and can be attached to the back of the last page with glue.

The “myself” and “my friends” pages are the same section. I love having students reflect on why they are special and I use the “myself” page. Some teachers prefer to use the “my friends” page and make the entire activity other-centered.

This flap book prints on standard 8.5 x 11 paper, but it assembles larger with the optional arrow.
