Rainforest Animals: Informational Article, QR Code Research Page & Fact Sort is a set of 12 informational articles all about Rainforest Animals. These articles are full of interesting facts and details that students can use during reading and writing activities.
Includes an article about each animal in two formats (two-page color photos & one-page text), QR Codes for online articles and videos about the animal and a fact sort sheet where students can sort facts about each animal’s attributes, actions, and environment.
I use these articles as a resource when researching and writing about animals. We read the article, look at a variety of websites and watch a couple of videos to gather all our facts about the animal. Once we have the facts, we sort the facts into categories and then write our research report.
The articles are written at about a second / third-grade reading level and are controlled for sentence length and complexity.
★ Also available as a BUNDLE with other animal articles. ★
These articles complement my Informational Writing Tools packet.
Animals include:
Anaconda
Capybara
Jaguar
Leaf-Cutter Ant

Red-Eyed Tree Frog

This resource was great to use for an expository writing at the beginning of the year. It gives students the freedom to choose their animal of interest. Students were also interested in reading the passages about animals they didn't choose.

A great addition to our studies on habitats and animals. These are very informational and a “one-stop shop” for learning about various animals in various habitats. Thank you!
