Butterflies: Informational Article, QR Code Research & Fact Sort includes an article about butterflies in two formats (two-page color photos & one-page text), QR Codes for online articles and videos about butterflies and a fact sort sheet where students can sort facts about butterflies.
I use these articles as a resource when researching and writing about animals. We read the article, look at a variety of web sites, and watch a couple videos to gather all our facts about the animal. Once we have the facts, we sort the facts into categories and then write our research report.
Also available is an Life Cycle Animals BUNDLE that includes ants, bees, butterflies, frogs, ladybugs, praying mantis, and silk worms.
This article works well with my Informational Writing Tools packet that scaffolds expository / informational writing about animals from researching facts to writing paragraphs.
This product does not include any graphic organizers or comprehension questions. Those are available in the Informational Writing Tools or Graphic Organizers products.
